FAQ
Q: In what styles do you tattoo?
A: I tattoo in most styles, but I really love color illustrative, color realism, black and grey relism, and black and grey illustrative.
I really love tattooing flowers/plants, portraits, pets, animals, bugs, goofy little guys, silly little things, cartoons, fruits & veggies, rainbow things, book things, movie things, and I love doing cover-ups!
Q: What are your rates?
A: Custom tattoos: For custom work, I charge $150/hr and can usually supply a time estimate when booking. Custom designs require a $50 drawing fee/deposit ($100 for large scale/cover up) to book (non-refundable).
For flash tattoos: Flash designs are a set price based on size, color palette, and complexity/estimated work time. Flash designs require a $50 deposit to book that is subtracted from the total on the day-of.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: Cash, Venmo, CashApp, Zelle, or Paypal. If you are only able to pay with credit card, please be prepared to have your card saved in Venmo or CashApp to pay through one of those apps.
Q: What is your tipping policy?
A: Tips are always appreciated but never required! I make sure to charge appropriately for myself, so please don't sweat if you are unable to tip.
Q: When do I get to see my design?
A: For custom designs, I will normally show you a draft one day before our appointment. This way, you are able to see the design beforehand and request any changes you'd like to see.n This also allows me time to finalize details and make any of my own changes.
Q: Do you do cover-ups/reworks?
A: Yes! For these types of tattoos, I recommend we do an in-person consultation so that I can get a good look at/get pictures of the existing tattoo and I can get a tracing of your body part. If you live far from South Austin, I also offer virtual consultations.
Q: How do you feel about numbing cream?
A: Having had bad experiences with numbing cream/spray on clients in the past, I recommend against it. You'd be surprised with your own strength if you choose to get tattooed sans numbing cream. Numbing cream also only has a limited life, and once it wears off, your tattoo will hurt tenfold. It puts a limit on how long we're able to work and creates and less-workable skin texture. I've witnessed bad reactions and so warn against it unless absolutely necessary. Please discuss with me prior to an appointment and please don't arrive at an appointment with numbing products already applied without me knowing. I'm sure we can figure something out!
Q: What do you recommend bringing to a tattoo appointment?
A: - Please always bring a personal water bottle and/or a beverage of choice.
- Snacks are always a great idea to bring just in case! getting tattooed is very taxing, and your body will need to replenish.
- For longer days, think bout bringing meal. We don't necessarily need to take a long lunch break unless you want to, but you never know how you'll feel!
- Clothing that you don't mind getting ink on or black/dark clothing if it's near where we're tattooing.
- A sweatshirt and/or socks in case you get cold
- Any media you'd like to consume: I love chatting, but if we have a longer day, think about what would best distract you. Feel free to bring an iPad or computer to watch movies, headphones for podcasts or audiobooks, or handheld gaming consoles for lower body tattoos
